Whzan integration makes Access Rio mobile

WHZAN PART OF ACCESS CERTIFIED PRODUCT PARTNER PROGRAMME

At Whzan, we understand the importance of data when it comes to providing the highest levels of care. Whether part of routine care or emergency response, the ability to immediately access up-to-date patient data has a huge impact on the ability to make key decisions. Decisions that can have a lasting impact on an individual’s short and long-term health.

With this in mind, one of our top priorities when developing our technology is ensuring it’s agile and capable of integrating with the leading EPRs…and we’re delighted that we are now seamlessly integrated with Access Rio.

A perfect match

Rio is an industry-leading EPR for mental and community health and provides one centralised electronic record for each patient that can be used across multiple care settings.

Since its launch over 10 years ago, the Whzan Blue Box has been responsible for transforming how health assessments are completed, supporting hundreds of thousands of people daily, in the place they call home.

Our partnership with Rio is now powering Hospital at Home programmes supporting patients with long-term conditions such as COPD, asthma, diabetes and coronary heart disease, as well as monitoring short-term needs. The portability of the Whzan Blue Box allows care professionals & GPs to remotely monitor vital signs, activity & NEWS2, and communicate with the patient using video calls or messaging at the touch of a button.

Rio data, wherever the patient may be

Patients, in the place they call home, are provided with their Blue Box containing Bluetooth instruments and an online tablet loaded with Rio assessments.

With some simple instruction, the patient takes their readings and assessments, as advised in their personal care plan and promoted by the Whzan tablet. All data is automatically recorded on the tablet and, in turn, through our Rio integration, seamlessly available to the patient record. Clinicians review patient data in real-time and prioritise support accordingly.

The beds in the Rio virtual ward are kept in sync with Whzan, as are patient movements.

Anyone coming in and out of the Rio ward are also seamlessly moved in and out of the Whzan equivalent.

Information in Rio can also be shared easily with other providers, including those in primary and social care. It gives patients access to information about their care too, enabling them to better manage their health.

Together, we are dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare, and we can't wait to embark on this transformative journey with you.
